For those who want to run in one or more races during the weekend long Run Fest, but aren’t yet in the physical condition to do so, the Critz Tybee Run Fest is proud to have partnered up with the nationally recognized Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program. TNT has as well become a sponsor for the Critz Tybee Run Fest.
The Savannah Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has presented their Team in Training (TNT) program as a solution to the plight of future runners for every distance starting with the 5K up to the half marathon.
Since TNT’s inception in 1988, the organization trained over a half million people who have raised $1.2 billion for the advancement of blood cancer research and direct services to patients and their families. Participants in the program will have trained to be able to race in one of the great race events of the Southeast, the Critz Tybee Run Fest. They will also participate in 12 weeks of coaching, receive a race day souvenir shirt and gain access to special VIP area at the finish line plus many other great team benefits.
"Team in Training is a great addition to the Critz Tybee Run Fest as the organization is fulfilling the goals set by the CTRF organizers- raise funds for great causes and spread the word about the fun of running and a healthy lifestyle", said Robert Espinoza, Race director for the Critz Tybee Run Fest.
