CRITZ TYBEE RUN FEST supporting the community since 2009

Each year as part of its vision, The Critz Tybee Run Fest contributes its proceeds to the Critz Tybee Run Scholarship Fund managed by the Savannah Community Foundation. All race/event surplus funds are contributed every year to the Critz Tybee Run Scholarship, then used to provide scholarships to Tybee, Low Country and Savannah community organizations to foster the spirit of health and education. Recipients of scholarship grants of approximately $75,000 have been dispersed to a number of organizations including:

  • St. Michael’s School
  • Tybee Island YMCA
  • Lady Bamford Center
  • Coastal Empire Council of Boy Scouts
  • Fresh Air Home at Tybee (Froebel Circle)

“Everyone involved in the Critz Tybee Run Fest has one common goal in mind, and that is to generate as much support as possible so we can add to our scholarship fund. With educational programs being underfunded and eliminated by city and state, we hope to help foster the spirit of our scholarship recipients. We strive to ensure that great athletic and educational programs keep growing,” said Debbie Critz, scholarship ambassador for the Critz Tybee Run Fest.

By being part of numerous nonprofit organizations in the Greater Savannah Area, Dale Critz Jr. and the whole Critz family have a longstanding tradition to contribute large amounts to better their community through donations, scholarships and grants.

The 2014 CRITZ TYBEE RUN FEST will provide several new, expanded sponsorship opportunities for businesses and organizations, which would like to get involved with the event.
