DRY CLOTHES CHANGING STATION

We want you to enjoy the festivities at Tybee during and after the races, so we’re providing you with a plastic bag to place your warm, dry clothes in so you can change in between and after the races. You will need to drop your clothes off at the Clothing Drop at the Strand (near the finish line in the post race party area) before the start of the race. After you have completed the race, pick up your clothes, change in the changing tents, and then hang out and enjoy the rest of your day on Tybee Island. After the awards and post race celebration, think about going to one of the many great restaurants within walking distance from the finish line.

At packet pick-up you will receive a clothes bag and an adhesive label. Adhere the label to the bag and write your race number on the label with a permanent marker. Give your bag to the attendant and we will store it while the race is going on. After the race you can pick up your bag. There will be changing stations for Men and Women.

If you plan on using the clothing drop please be prepared to have your bag checked by 6:30 a.m. Remember the 10K race starts at 7:00a.m.

Time Limits

If you are running the 10K and the Half Marathon, you must be able to run the 10K in at least 1 hour and 15 minutes. This will ensure a smooth transition for you between the 10K finish and Half Marathon start. Remember that the Half Marathon will start at exactly 8:30am. The timing mat at the Half Marathon starting line will be turned off precisely 10 minutes after the start horn. This still gives you a 10 minute grace period in case you do not finish in under 1½ hours; so hurry up!

Every competitor must be able to complete the Half Marathon in under 3½ hours. After 3½ hours, all competitors will be asked to exit the race course. Participants may decide on their own to complete the remainder of the course, but must do so on the sidewalk.
